We started making Cat Paw Moccasins in 1994. Our Traditional Eastern Woodlands Moccasins are hand sewn and branded with our distinctive Cat Paw brand on the inside of the moccasin so it does not take away from the traditional appearance. These are handmade Eastern Woodlands Moccasins made with 3-4 ounce Granada leather and hand sewn with artificial sinew. We use Earth Tone colored leather. The colors may vary some from the pictures. This style of moccasin was generally worn by the Eastern Woodlands Native Americans. They are extremely soft and comfortable to wear around the house or yard and tough enough to be used for camping, hunting, or hiking. All of our items are branded with our Cat Paw brand. This leather is soft and easy to apply beads to.

The Eastern Woodland tribes are located, typically, East of the Mississippi. There is some overlap West of the Mississippi. The names of some of the tribes that are usually recognized are Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, Delaware, Erie, Ho-Chunk, Illinois, Kickapoo, Menominee, Miami, Mohawk, Mohican, Narraganset, Ojibwa(Chippewa),Oneida, Sauk, Seminole, Seneca, Shawnee, and Sioux. There are many other tribal names that can be found by searching Encyclopedia Britannica - Eastern Woodlands Indians.

Hides are often scarred because of the way they live. There may be small markings, but not scar damage. I limit the markings as much as possible. There will not be markings that take away from the value of the moccasins.

Return of items in new condition are accepted if returned within 30 days of receiving shipment. Item must be in new condition. Send pictures of item when requesting return. If they are worn the soles become dirty and the return will not be accepted. You will receive a full refund for any return that is in new condition. Buyer pays return postage.
